This site is a fundraising effort to continue our sharing with the world the experiences you will find on the Raggin' Piano Boogie and Traveling Piano websites. Piano man Danny Kean has a 20 year performance career of Tickling the Ivories with Ragtime and Boogie Woogie piano music from the back of the Raggin' Piano Boogie pickup truck. Now, for almost 3 years in the spirit of continuing entrepreneurial fun, friendship and respect, a new twist... the Traveling Piano additionally "Brings the Beat to the Street." The Traveling Piano delivers the gift of improvisational music and creativity, a lift of spirits for friends, communities and people from all walks of life. It's about inspiring with piano music. It's about encouraging and empowering people to express themselves freely through music.
You are invited to participate in this not-for-profit venture. Your contribution will result in spontaneous music and fun for people to discover. There are no performance fees for the Traveling Piano. Please explore the ongoing logs with writings, pictures and music on the Raggin' Piano Boogie site. You will find an entry for every day since February 19, 2006. They include journey's to America's hurricane affected areas in the south, flooded areas in the northeast, a 2 week visit to Virginia Tech at the students request after their tragedy and experiences throughout communities in rural America and Mexico as well as ongoing present day local neighborhood ventures. The truck is presently spining its wheels in place to collect funds in order to continue. Additional information can be found on the Traveling Piano website.
Now personally... I must be financially responsible while providing my talent and creativity to the world. I really do need your help. I am asking you to please send a donation, respond to my generosity with generosity of your own so that together we can continue to pay the fun, friendship and respect forward. I am presently liquidating all assets and personal possessions in order to help continue the mission. You will find more and more listed here on this site daily until everything is liquidated. The "us" includes my best friend and canine companion Bo who has been hanging out with me for 13 years on top of my piano.
